In Christ Central Telford, we all deeply appreciate our relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a daily reality and the “main thing” in our lives. However, we all had our own journey in coming to faith in Jesus (becoming a Christian). For some, it was a slow process, where through a friend or loved one, we gradually understood more and more until coming to faith in Jesus. For others, there was a key moment when we seemed to instantly believe in Jesus.

A great way to explore the Christian faith is just to come along to our Sunday morning meetings. We won’t place any obligations on you.  Just come along, meet us and take in what we do, Who we sing to and what we teach. We do what we can to make our meetings understandable and friendly to all.

Another great way to explore Jesus is to read the Bible – and maybe with a trusted friend. A good place to start is the Gospel of Mark – the 2nd book of the New Testament.

It may be that a short course about the Christian faith would help you. We like to run the Christianity Explored course from time to time. In a relaxed environment, you get to learn about Jesus – what He did and said – why He died such a horrible death on the Cross – and the significance of His Resurrection.

Please get in touch if you would like to chat about any of the above.

Church? … firstly is about being in a family. As followers of Jesus, we not only belong to Him, but also to one another. Being part of our Church means growing in our relationship with Jesus AND growing in our relationships with one another. Church is also about being together, i.e. physically together. Sometimes, we can only meet virtually (e.g. by Zoom), but there’s nothing like being together physically in God’s Presence, for worship, teaching and growing together as Christians.

Being part of Church will mean gathering together in different contexts:

Sunday mornings

We always consider our Church together times fundamentally important for worshipping God, teaching, ministry and fellowship. This is when we praise God and encounter Him through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit. We also encourage people to consider serving. For example P.A./technical, set up and packing away, Children or Youth, refreshments and hospitality.

Worship and Prayer (Sunday evenings)

This is when we can press in to God in worship, seek Him for what He has promised and lay the burdens of our hearts at His feet. It is also a time to take steps of faith in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Home Groups

Where we can relate more closely with one another in studying the Bible, praying and worshipping together. We also like to pray for our loved ones and friends to also know Jesus.

2’s or 3’s (with trusted friends)

We need one another to grow in our relationship with Jesus. We do encourage getting together for mentoring, encouragement and accountability.

Mission

We partner with one another in praying for and reaching loved ones and friends for Jesus. We want others to see Jesus in us – and be stirred to seek Him for themselves – and gain eternal life with Him also. God has also placed us in His big plan to reach many people in many nations. We are part of a larger international group of churches called ChristCentral churches (part of Newfrontiers). Through our involvement with ChristCentral, we are involved in Ukraine, Zambia and the Middle East.
